At most weddings the guests range from children to grandparents, so it can be difficult to find entertainment that will please everyone.
Often the best choice is a band which plays well-known songs from the sixties onwards. A good mix of classic tunes from the Beatles right up to today’s chart hits is a great way to get the reception rocking.
Most covers bands are happy to learn a special song for the first dance, and welcome some input from the bride and groom into the playlist for the evening.
However, it’s worth remembering that part of what you pay for is the band’s experience and expertise in choosing songs to keep the dancefloor full. If you want to be very prescriptive about the specific songs you’d like to hear, you might consider booking a DJ too.
Covers bands typically consist of 3-6 musicians. They are fully self-contained, providing their own PA, recorded music during their breaks and often lighting too.
The band was brilliant! They were so good at the cover songs, a lot of people did a double take to check they weren't the real thing.
