String quartets

A string quartet can be the ideal choice for civil ceremony and background music:

1. The repertoire available to a string quartet is far wider than for any other small ensemble. Many pop songs and jazz standards can be specially arranged for string quartet - why not walk down the aisle to your favourite love song!
   
   
2. A string quartet is completely mobile and requires no power supply. This makes it an ideal choice for a civil ceremony or a summer wedding, where guests may move outside for drinks and back inside for dinner.
   
   
3. A string quartet has the flexibility not only to play classical music during the ceremony, but also lighter, jazzier music during drinks and dinner.
   
   
4. As well as playing in its own right, a string quartet can easily accompany an instrumental or vocal soloist.
   
   
5. A string quartet does not take up much space.
