Although a string quartet or a pianist provide the music for perhaps 95% of civil ceremonies at which there is live music, these are not by any means the only options.

Here are some alternatives:

• Trad jazz band () - if you live within walking distance of the venue, why not have a jazz band walking in front of the car?
  
  
• Harpist () - fed up with the usual wedding march? Glide rather than stride down the aisle to the elegant sound of a harpist!
  
  
• String duo () - space (or budget?!) too tight for a quartet? How about a duo instead?
  
  
• Guitar duo () - another space/budget saver, this time with Latin overtones!
