Choose the right piece of music to round off
your ceremony in style

The recessional is normally cheerful and upbeat, and will usually contrast strongly with the music that you've chosen for the signing of the register.

Here are some ideas for music which works well at the end of the ceremony:

• Bach JS - 1st movement, from 'Brandenburg Concerto No.3 in G'
• Stanley J - Trumpet Voluntary, op.6 no.5
• Verdi G - Libiamo ne lieti calici, from 'La Traviata'
• Strauss J - Radetsky March

The pieces above are ideal for a solo pianist or a string group, though most are also playable by other musicians. The Verdi requires a singer or two, as well.
